Jessica Yoder
Senior: Jalee, Class of 2019
Downtown Columbus, Ohio
It’s my pleasure to introduce you to Jalee! First, let’s get the name straight…I’m not quite sure how to correctly insert the sound bits, but here’s a try…it sounds like “j-u-lee” not “j-A-lee.” Jalee is a french name and pretty cool, if you ask me! 🙂
Jalee loves to be around people. She’s athletic, friendly, and hard working. I haven’t been around Jalee much, but what little I’ve been privileged to be in her presence I get the feeling she add a spark to life and is a joy to be around!
Congrats on graduating, Jalee! Many blessings in the adventures God has ahead for you!

It was a joy to photograph Natalyn! She’s outgoing, energetic, friendly, and guess what…she enjoys photography (my ears always perk up when I hear this! 🙂 ) Natalyn loves hanging out with her friends and someday she hopes to go skydiving! Go for it, Natalyn! And may God bless you in whatever adventures He has planned for you!

Alex and Noel’s day was filled with so much beauty! Everywhere you looked you could see pretty details and colors…not to mention the sweet bride and groom!
Here’s the story of their day captured in pictures…
Noel sewed Alex’s tie!!! How cool is that?!?! Their first look! Here comes the bride!!! We traveled to London, Ohio for some of their portraits. It was a great setting! Engagement: Jeff & Jodi
It was a match made in heaven…and also at Chick-fil-A!! AND it was truly their pleasure!! Okay, I just had to get those out of my system!! 🙂 But seriously, Jeff and Jodi met at Chick-fil-A and are now looking forward to their June wedding! Jodi tried not to get her hopes up for snow on the ground when we scheduled their session, but it came just in time and looked like a winter wonderland! We warmed up at Winans Chocolates and took a few cozy pictures indoors. When asked what Jodi loves about Jeff this is what she shared, “He makes me laugh and isn’t afraid to be a little weird. He listens extremely well to all the crazy problems I have. He spoils me all the time. He works hard even if he doesn’t feel like it. He also comes with a fantastic family full of a bunch of crazy people who have gladly welcomed me into their close circle.”
Jeff, what do you love about Jodi? “She is very kind and thinks logically. She doesn’t get upset easily. She is honest and listens to me, and I can tell her anything without being afraid of being judged.”
Lucas & Ashley’s Choctaw Lake Wedding
Choctaw Lake, London Ohio
Lucas and Ashley tied the knot on a beautiful, sunny and fairly hot day in August. Their lakeside ceremony was a gorgeous setting with the occasional boat passerby to add to the interest of the scenery!
Allow me to tell you the story of their day through memories captured in the form of pictures…
As the reception neared the end we decided to take a walk to the lake and capture a few more pictures as the sun was setting. Lucas and Ashley took off their shoes and stepped in the cool water…it felt oh-so-good!!!
Thank you to Andrew of Andrew E. Weber Photography for second shooting with me for Lucas and Ashley’s wedding.
Joe & Brittany’s Downtown Columbus Engagement
Scioto Mile and Schiller Park, Columbus, Ohio
I LOVED Joe and Brittany’s session! The sun was shining beautifully…just perfect for a romantic, love-filled engagement session!
The days are counting down to their November wedding, and I’m SO looking forward to their BIG day!!  Joe and Brittany met through mutual friends. She’s quiet at first, but the more you get to know her she’s an open book. He’s caring, patient and great with kids. Together they love to spend quality time with each other and family. Joe is a police officer, so they brought along a police officer’s flag to use for some of the pictures.
Wedding: Aaron & Megan
Hickory Lane Farms
I love when weddings have details that hold unique sentiment to the couple. This was true for Aaron and Megan’s wedding. All throughout the day you could see the special touches unique to them! For instance, the reception took place at Megan’s home…the same place where her parents got married! Before I give too much away, allow me to share the story of their day through a few of their wedding pictures…If rings had a story to tell it would be these!! The story began when Aaron and Meg got engaged in Ireland. Aaron’s wedding band is hand crafted from Ireland. The marble is from the Connemara National Park where he proposed to Meg! The inner part of the ring is made from an old Irish penny. Another material used to make the ring was Irish bog oak (an ancient oak tree that has been buried and preserved in a peat bog for hundreds to thousands of year. Yeah, I had to look that up!😉) Interestingly enough, right before Aaron proposed to Meg she fell in a bog! Meg’s ring is a vintage-style floral ring, because she loves all things vintage! Aaron and Meg exchanged love letters to each other. Meg took a few minutes to read hers before getting ready at her parent’s home. A piece from her grandma’s favorite blouse was cut in a heart and sewn into her wedding dress. Meg gave Aaron a watch. Carved on the back it said, “Meet me at the altar at 12:30.” The first look! All of Aaron and Meg’s wedding portraits were taken at her parents farm, Hickory Lane Farms Nursery & Landscaping. Such a beautiful setting! The sun was super bright and honestly, the temperature was REALLY hot! But a few romantic shots with the bright sunlight and meadow setting were called for! Go ahead and count them!! 🙂 Yep…12 girls, 12 guys, two children, and the bride and groom!! They win the prize for the largest bridal party I’ve ever photographed! Aaron and Megan are two VERY LOVED people! “Going to the chapel and we’re going to get married!” The bridal party rode on this trailer to and from the church! Notice the “Farmersonly.com” sign! 🙂 Instead of a unity candle Aaron and Meg had a unity tree. They poured dirt on the tree from their childhood homes. Notice in the picture above Meg is wiping her tears. What are you supposed to do with the tissue when you’re done? Well, you stuff it in your new husband’s pocket, obviously! (See below!) After the ceremony we took the time for a few boat pictures and I’m SO glad we did! The reception took place in the farm barn. I know for a fact, Megan worked HARD to make it look like an elegant venue…and she did it! There were so, SO many details all around!! Everywhere you looked was something special! Everyone was invited to take a tree home to plant! Such a neat idea! As they drove off down the lane, it only seems fitting to end with “Happily ever after!”
Special thanks to Deborah of DG Photography for second shooting for me, and to Emilee of Emily Hope Photography for assisting.

Josh and Laura’s Downtown Columbus Engagement
Scioto Mile ~ Schiller Park ~ Winans Chocolates, Columbus, Ohio
I love, love, LOVED Josha and Laura’s engagement session! It took place the very end of March, so it was still a bit chilly and windy, but we came up with the perfect mix of outdoor/indoor settings AND to top it off we happened across some blossoming trees to add to the beauty! Now we’re looking forward to their August wedding!
Winans Chocolates, Coffees, and Wines was the perfect spot to warm up a bit. Such a classy setting for these pictures of Josh and Laura…it fit them perfectly!Â
Logan & Erin’s Wren Farm Wedding
Logan and Erin’s day…a special couple, beautiful celebration, and lovely setting!
Their day took place at the beautiful Wren Farm in Mechanicsburg, Ohio. A heart cut from a piece of her dad’s clothing was sewn into Erin’s wedding dress. Erin wore her grandma’s lace bolero jacket. It was so elegant! First look! Erin’s grandmas got a special first look with the bride! The sun was very bright and it was quite hot during the ceremony. The pastor prayed that a little shade would come…a few minutes later a cloud floated by for a bit of relief! I love how God takes care of every detail! Logan and Erin had a unity tree. The dirt they poured on the tree came from their childhood homes. Congratulations, Mr. & Mrs. Hostetler!! We ended the evening taking a few pictures as the sun set. It wasn’t the brightest or most brilliant sunset, but they still have some sweet pictures as husband and wife!Â
Thank you to Deborah Beachy of DG Photography for second shooting for me.
