Wedding: Sam & Ashley
Sam and Ashley’s wedding fell on a beautiful, autumn day. Ashley was a stunning bride with her long, flowing veil and breath-taking blue eyes. And let’s not forget Sam, the handsome groom! Sam and Ashley wanted to keep their day simple without a lot of traditions. The guests were seated at tables for the ceremony, which then transitioned to the reception seamlessly. The reception was enjoyed by young and old alike, as the guests danced and celebrated.
Congratulations, Sam and Ashley! May the Lord bless your marriage in the years ahead.
Special thanks to Deborah of dgPhotography for assisting me. Once again, it was a joy to have Deborah’s help and company for the day!
Jeremy & Jennifer: Wedding
On these recent, beautiful, fall days it’s easy to forget the numerous 90 degree days we experienced this summer. Remember? Day after day of the heat?! Jeremy and Jen’s wedding fell on one of those 90 plus degree days with the sun shining brightly, and although it was a scorcher, their day was beautiful from start to finish!
When I look back at Jeremy and Jen’s wedding I think the thing I’ll remember most was the beauty of their ceremony. The service was such a true worship to the Lord and a testimony of God’s grace and work in their lives. Although I was working during the ceremony, I could sense the sweet spirit! I know that Jeremy and Jen would both say that their wedding day and their marriage is not about themselves, but about serving the Lord and living their lives as a worship to God…and this was obvious.
Recently, I told someone that I think the thing I like most about doing wedding photography is being able to interact with the bride and groom on a day that they want to remember for the rest of their lives. It’s true! I’m grateful to have had the privilege of sharing in Jeremy and Jen’s day. Blessing to you both!
Special notes: I want to mention that Stacy Troyer did an absolutely beautiful job of styling Jen’s hair. I also want to thank Deborah Beachy of dgPhotography for assisting me and adding her special touch to her shots!
Zach & Allison: Wedding
Zach and Allison’s day was beautiful and full of memories! A lot of work and planning went into the many details of their day, but when the day finally arrived Zach and Allison wanted to enjoy the day from start to finish. They began their morning with a pancake breakfast for their bridal party at Allison’s house! Then while they got dressed, their families were busy preparing for the outdoor reception. The threat of storms left the set up until just hours before the event, however the storm clouds cleared and the sun began to shine–brightly!
Allison’s dress was made by her mother, Priscilla, and she looked beautiful! Her sweet, relaxed spirit was evident as she soaked in each moment of their special day. Zach looked handsome and took everything in stride—even with a few schedule changes throughout the day. He had on his usual bright smile…especially when he saw his bride!
Allison is my niece, so it was special to be a part of her day. I want to give a huge thank you to Deborah of dgPhotography for assisting me. Deborah agreed to shoot the reception so that I could sit and enjoy being with family. This was such a blessing and Deborah did a great job! Keep in mind that the beautiful pictures below of the reception details are Deborah’s handiwork!
Megan & Justin: Wedding
Megan laughs and the sweetness of her heart shines on her beautiful face. Justin is kind and fun-loving, and I’m pretty sure would do almost anything for his love. Together they complement each other beautifully…they are both laid back, enjoy spending time with people, and enjoy outdoor activities.
It was a beautiful, clear, and sunny fall day. While classic, indoor poses were important to Megan, we also had a chance to take some shots outdoors on the church grounds.
Justin and Megan, thank you! Thank you, for allowing me to be a part of your beautiful day!
Special thanks to Jenell Shrock for second shooting for me and capturing some great pics!
Amanda & Brian: Wedding and Covered Bridge Portraits
Planning for a wedding to be outdoors is always a gamble with the weather, much less planning for it in October when the weather in Ohio could be cold and frosty! But for Brian and Amanda their day in October turned out to be absolutely beautiful, if not even a bit hot!
Amanda is sweet-spirited and spontaneous. Brian, at first glance, appears to be quiet and reserved, but once you get to know him one can easily see that he also has a fun-loving, spontaneous side which complements Amanda perfectly!
Although, from two different worlds, well, actually the states of Ohio and Kansas J, Brian and Amanda chose to have their wedding in Ohio with the future plans of settling on a farm in Kansas. For some of their portraits they chose to use a local, restored covered bridge. This location was special to them, because they would occasionally visit the bridge while dating and then Brian chose to propose to Amanda at the bridge!
Brian and Amanda, thank you for the privilege of sharing in your day!
Special thanks to Marlisa Beachy for assisting me for the day! She captures some great shots!
